Who We Are & Where We Play
The Drop Bear Gaming Gold Coast Club has around 50 active players and many more casual players in the wings that play in and around the Gold Coast. Some of the events that we host and also attend in the area can boast upward of 30-40 competitive players.
There are several events that we attend regularly consisting of;
- Drop Bear Gaming hosted 40k GT 2 day Singles tournament at The Collectors Market
- Gladiator Games 40k Teams 2 day competitive tournament in Logan
- Gladiator Games 40k Singles 2 day competitive tournament in Toowoombah
- T3 Galaxy in Flames – 3 man teams 1 day competitive tournament
- T3 Forged in Fire – Singles 1 day competitive tournament
You may also spot some of our Drop Bears in other tournaments across the country also.
More Than Just Winning: Our Club Culture
Part of our ethos at Drop Bear Gaming and Warhammer 40k is that we like to encourage new players and also people new to the area that haven’t played in a while to connect, share our knowledge of the game and become better players overall.
Sportsmanship is a big part of our club, we encourage great gamers on the table and between players with friendly advice and fun while we play. Yes, there is a time for sweaty lists and over-teched meta when you’re taking scalps, but, we generally foster good people and a great gaming community. It is not all about winning the game at the table, it’s about winning together and taking the time to get to know the people you’re playing with.
